The Corsican Diet: I lost 6 pounds in one month

dieter I know how hard it is to

When I moved to the USA about 6 years ago, I gained 10 pounds. I had not changed my diet really: no snacking, no alcohol, no more or less sugar, no more or less refined carbs.
So what had happened? I was exercising like all my friends. I had a hard time figuring out what was missing, so I started looking at my lifestyle more carefully and found out that though I was exercising, I was still short of 2 to 3 hours of daily walking!
Going to the gym was not enough. In France (or Corsica, I should say) we move all day long. We burn calories all day long and stay in shape without depriving ourselves of good, hearty foods. After realizing this fact, I started walking more and within a few weeks I had shed 4 pounds. The 6 remaining ones stayed with me until this very month!
I just spent one month in Corsica, my beloved land, and though I ate everything that US nutritionists would advise you to stay away from when on a slimming diet, I lost 6 pounds over the course of 4 weeks WITHOUT dieting!
What did I do? I ate
four meals a day; never took a second serving.
Snacked? Yes I did! When at the market, I would
eat a crepe or an ice cream; a pleasure that a lot
of our US friends have lost. I ate small portions..
There, the "deck of cards" serving is still a
reality.
I enjoyed all my meals with my friends
and family. Meals lasted for at least an hour, if not
more. Most importantly, I kept exercising and
walking throughout the day.
And above all this, my active vacation did not prevent me from working on my latest project: book #2 and discovering new business horizons.
Bottom line: Bottom line, there is no secret about it. If we eat controlled portions of everything and get enough excercise, we will all be in shape.
