Three Keys To Greater Self-Love


There are many ways to love yourself. What I offer here are three Keys, that I have found to be helpful on my journey to greater self-love and self-acceptance. Loving yourself means that you accept yourself as you are at this present moment, there are no exceptions to this contract. This means that you appreciate, respect, and validate your feelings. You listen to your own inner guidance, and make yourself the authority of your life.

The first key to self-love is to live in the present. Many people don’t live in the now they are stuck in the past thinking about foolish things they’ve done or unwise actions they’ve taken. When you do think of the past remember personal successes you’ve had ways you’ve grown and how even in many small ways the unique person that you are has helped others. You are person who is brought joy into others’ lives, you have done this the kind words smiles and laughter. When you think of your past remember this when you think of the future do not make yourself inadequate, because you’re where you are right now and not the future person you wish to become. Remember that life is a journey and you control where you travel to on this journey, the future person will come soon enough. Love yourself for who you are right now.

The second key to self-love is to practice and become non-judgmental, this becomes easier to do once we realize why we should practice non-judgment. Every time we judge another, we send a subconscious message to ourselves that we can only love ourselves if we don’t do what we are judging the other for. Let me give you an example, if you see a man walk by in a funny looking hat and you say,” look at that man, look how ridiculous he looks not hat”. You are now sending the message to yourself that you can only love yourself if you don’t wear funny looking hats. Now you may say, I don’t have to worry about that, I never wear funny looking hats. But these judgments build up and compound until before, you know you’ve so many subconscious rules would a person must be the can hardly step outside your front door without being dressed totally to the nine. Judgment becomes even more dangerous and toxic when we start to judge people for things they’ve no control over an example of this may be acne. Anyone who’s had acne knows that it can strike even the most hygienic person. So if you judge a person with acne, and later you develop a pimple your self-love will decrease. Because you judged others, you too will judge yourself to love yourself unconditionally, you must practice non-judgment.

The third key to self-love is a belief that I hold that is served me greatly and that I offer up to you to either choose to believe in except or not. I believe that we are all spiritual beings having a physical experience. Recognize and celebrate your own divinity, recognize and celebrate your own uniqueness. We are all perfect at the soul level, the level that connects us with the higher source that we are all a part of. This belief can help you develop a sense of reverence towards yourself a sense of specialness and acceptance. This belief can help you love yourself more, because with in this belief is the idea that you are more than you know, and that you are a multifaceted unique individual.

Self-love is one of the greatest ways to improve your inner strength and quality of life in every area. self-love is a journey. Do not get angry with yourself if you do not master the skills right away. Instead love yourself for the degree of self-love that you have developed, and for giving yourself permission to not be perfect, but to be lovable anyway.

Self-love will help you to look at your life and see it for what it really is a masterpiece created by you the master.
