How do you show a man that you love him without overwhelming him by your presence?

We all know how important these three very simple, but very profound words can be; yet they are the very three words that often are left unsaid.

We let the fear of our perceived inadequacies, and the fear of whether our love will be returned, to get in the way of expressing how we truly feel.

We linger…waiting… not showing our feelings because it feels too scary.

The more you love someone, the more he or she needs to know it, for love cannot wait, it cannot be planned, and it cannot be quantified.
We either love or we don't love. It cannot be faked. When we love another and take the risk of fully expressing it, we give ourselves and the person whom we love the greatest and most precious gift one could ever receive.

To not do so out of fear stops you from experiencing the true joy and beauty that only love can bring.

When two souls connect, without every really comprehending why, they begin a journey that is built over time, stronger and stronger … until eventually it becomes a deep, profound and intimate connection that is unlike any other relationship the two who love may ever have.

At the moment that commitment ‘to love’ takes place, the bond between the two who love becomes like a mountain with two sides: on one side their friendship, on the other, love; two sides, which join into a crest, a winding crest like all the crests of all the mountains in the world.

And as you walk on this crest, day after day, looking at the one you love, this crest will lead you sometimes to the friendship side and sometimes to the love side, and with all of love’s perfection, in each unique moment, your heart will beat its true rhythm. When you love another, you look deep inside yourself for what's most humble, and hand it over to him; you look into his eyes for the spark which excites you both, and you love him; you look for the sweetness of the moment you lay next to his skin, and you love him; your smiles turn into tears of joy and peace, your hands become his hands. And your body and your soul will know you love him.

How can you not give yourself this gift? How can you not give this gift to the one you love? To express the love you feel is all that you need to do. It is then up to whom you love to realize, imagine, accept, or maybe even refuse your love, but taking the first step relies on you.

Yes this may feel scary, but by taking action, you can rest assured that you are not betraying your feelings; because you will have been courageous. You will have had the courage to assert yourself beyond your thoughts and your fears. It does not matter if it doesn’t work out, for there are thousands of opportunities for your heart and your life to fall into its rightful place of love. Once you have opened your heart, others will see it and will want to come and rest and feel protected within your open arms. They will see and know that “love” is not a word you use lightly, but for you is an act with many facets that are shinier than even the shiniest of all diamonds. Fear not.

Tell those you love, “I love you,” for if you continue to love with an open heart, and continue to love without counting, the one for you will come and won't be able to live without your love.
