Humus

This is tasty and very healthy dip, side dish, spread that I recommend you always keep ready in your fridge to satisfy your salty/fiber cravings.

Ingredients:

1 can of organic cooked garbanzo beans
½ lemon juice
1/3 cup of olive oil (virgin, 1st cold press)
½ teaspoon of tahini paste (sesame paste)
1 garlic clove
Salt to taste

Directions:

Put all ingredients in a mixer/blender until you get a smooth puree.
Some people prefer it coarse. It is yours to choose!

Variations:

You can vary the taste by doing the following:

Add 2 teaspoons of cumin
Or
Add 2 teaspoons of paprika
Or
No tahini (sesame paste)
Or
Add 1 cup of fresh white mushrooms
Or
Be creative!

Serving suggestions:

Put the mixture in a serving bowl; pour some olive oil on top of it and a few olives.
