Homemade Pesto

Eat Your Basil!

We all know basil is good for us (it has a lot of anti-bacterial qualities) but it is hard to eat a lot of it in one sitting.

We have found a solution for you: eat home-made pesto!

This recipe is very easy to make and stays fresh in your refrigerator!

Yields about 15 servings

Ingredients:

5 cups of basil leaves
5 tablespoons of virgin cold-pressed olive oil
sea salt to taste
1 cup of pine nuts

Directions:

Put everything in your food processor & blend. That's it!

Serves well on crackers, with avocado to replace mayo in the "hollow", and as a tasty basis for any salad dressing!
